Our team of passionate designers created these shoulder pads for effective and comfortable protection during training and matches.Introducing shoulder pads with two redesigned protective zones (particularly at the chest) and made with lightweight, breathable fabrics to keep you protected but not encumbered.
Equipment that never compromises on your safety.
Offload’s top goal is to keep you protected. While designs and sensations may vary based on your playing style, the level of protection you get will never change.
What does that mean?
That all our shoulder pads give you the same level of protection that meets World Rugby standards.
So what’s changed?
The level of comfort: with ergonomic pads, you can throw, tackle and jump with total freedom!
This product was co-designed with top-level players!
To create shoulder pads that are truly suitable for playing rugby, regardless of level, we asked professional players in the French Elite 1 league to indicate on a jersey the areas where they want to feel protected. After two years of work, multiple prototypes and a plethora of tests, our four-strong design team is proud to present protective equipment that was co-designed especially for rugby!
These shoulder pads meet World Rugby regulations
Play with peace of mind: all our protections comply with World Rugby regulations. These standards dictate what the foam must be made of and how dense (less than 45 kg per m3) and thick it must be (less than 1 cm).Why is there a maximum standard? To prevent excessive force during play.
What do shoulder pads co-designed with Stade Toulousain and LMRCV players give you?
A lot of carefully thought out details for your sport!
Such as?
– We’ve adjusted the pads to protect the chest effectively.
– The densest foam is at the shoulders to absorb impacts, while the foam is cut out in small areas along the shoulder blades for freedom of movement.
– The centre of the shoulder pads is made from stretchy fabric for greater flexibility while the sides are in mesh to quickly evacuate heat and perspiration.
Protection created by a team of partners:
Our design team is made up of a product manager, an engineer, a garment designer and a style designer. To give you a product suited to the pitch, they took into account the feedback from our technical partners: Maud Lanteaume, Yanna Rivoalen and Gabrielle Vernier. Our partners help us improve our products by getting involved at every stage of the design process, and by validating them during tests that reproduce real-life playing conditions.
Maud Lanteaume, Stade Toulousain player and department manager for the Colomiers store, tells us what she thinks:
“I always wear this product during matches. I feel good in it. It both protects and reassures me; the goal is to soften impacts. It also keeps me from over-layering, you don’t need to put a base layer on underneath. I wear it against the skin to prevent catching and tearing; It’s designed to be slim fitting.”
CE marking
The CE marking (in force since 1993) is the main indication of a product’s conformity to EU legislation and allows free movement within the European market
